Short Haul TOO FACED and KIKO + review

Today I'm back with a quick haul of only two products, but I hope that you will like it !

First there is the eyeshadows primer Shadow Insurance from Too Faced :

I was looking for a primer after having bought my palette Light Colors from Réserve Naturelle which I present you in this article. A friend told me to go for the Too Faced, telling me that it was the one she went on buying every time she finished it. So I ended up giving it a try and I ran went to Sephorawhere the primer is sold $20.

I think that all the girls who know the brand will agree to say that Too Faced makes us want to ruin ourself open our wallet just with their packagings retros and girly ! I totally am in love with the sea green / turquoise blue, to the spirit "boudoir" of the arabesques and others gildings, anyway, I LOOOVE their packagings !

Concerning the base itself, it is a skin color, a little bit dark, which can scare you at first, but in the end, that's what helps annihilate a little bit the redness of the eyelids and obtain a result more harmonious. And anyway, the base, when applied, isn't visible anymore.

The base does the job, the shadow clings on it - almost a bit too much because it then becomes a bit more difficult to blend the eyeshadows, it takes a bit longer.
Only a little bit of the product is enough to obtain the desired result, so I think that I'll be able to use it for a while, so the $20, (17 euros), will be made profitable, (and that, is cool !).

Next, I present you my new loved nailpolish in the collection Denim from Kiko : the nail lacquer Ink Pink number 460.

I really love the color of this nail polish which is just perfect for the summer. It's funny because depending on the light, the nail polish seems more pink or orange. And since it's a Kiko, it's cheap : GBP 2.50 ! But sadly it looks like my color is out of stock on the website. But I found mine in a shop.

I wasn't expecting its texture : matte, with an aspect of "candle wax" which I didn't like at first, but I got used to it, and in the end I like it.

The nail polish dries quite quickly, and is quite opaque. However be careful, putting the second coat can be difficult, the texture can easily "hung" and go. Try avoiding to put the second coat on the nail polish too dry.
Finally, the bad point, is that even with a base, it's difficult to take it off, so if you only go for the nail polishes that get off in three seconds : don't pick it. However, if you don't mind it, then test it, because it's a nail polish that screams : SUMMER !

Even if it was short, I hope that you enjoyed this haul ! I will see you in the other article, and until then I send you big kisses ! And don't forget that my passion, is your smile !
Love,
Marion.

  1. I'm glad I tumbled upon this post ! I just bought a grey matte polish (very first time), and when I tried it well… Big deception. I just felt like the matte effect gives out a "badly, sloppily applied" look and I was ready to give up on matte.
Yours looks absolutely gorgeous, very chic ! I guess brighter color work much better with matte. I'll definitely make another attempt !

    Have a lovely evening xx

    1. Hi ! Aw, thank you ! Let me tell you that you made my day !

I'm glad my post was helpful to you. Maybe, if you are into nail art, can you use the matte grey to put little dots on, for example, a very glossy black ? But yeah, I feel like we need to get used to matte nail polishes, and some might not have the best quality ... But if you find one that you love, please let me know ! :)

Thank you for your kind comment, have a nice and beautiful day !

      Xoxo,
      Marion.
