Haul ACHICA - First Impressions of the website and of the After-Sales Service - Review

I had my first order on the flash sales website ACHICA. I ordered a decorative cushion, an organic cream, and ... two frames that I sadly were never able to get. Explications :

Ok so, I can already see you, reader/lost soul, (delete as appropriate), saying "Oh myyy Gosh, if she didn't get her frames, then I will neeever order on this website !". Well, let me tell you that you would really be wrong ! In fact, I am totally satisfied with the site and the After-Sales Service.

First, let's begin with the start : what is Achica ?

          Just like Vente-Privée, (that I kindly present you in this article, you just need to click, it's free, it's given, it's on the house), Achica is a site of flashs sales with advantageous prices, from Great Britain that was created in february 2010 by Quentin Griffiths, co-founder of ASOS and William Cooper, CEO of TradeDoubler.

          The site is specialised in house's equipment, (even if, in the end, you can find pretty much anything). The sales last between 24 and 72 hours.

Ok, and what about this story of frames not received ?

          Totally independant of Achica which has correctly sent the package. (I received each command in a different package. And that's a chance !)
       Explaining it would be too long, but if you still want for me to tell you everything about my life, then here's a tiny summary. Or else you can skip the numbers and read "Package sent back to the sender, how does Achica manage it ?". ;)

1. My order was supposed to be shipped to my home. By lack of luck, it was when I was supposed to have an exam. Ok, it doesn't matter, I have a Post office close to where I live. Lucky.
2. MY Post office has decided to close just this day, for I DO NOT KNOW what reason. Joy.
3. The delivery man brought my package to a Post office where I could only go on saturdays. Well, ok, I see on the website that it is open on saturdays. Re-joy.
4. The D-day, the Post is closed. WHAAAT ??????
5. I call them during the week. They tell me "Yes, yes, it's opened." HUM. Okay, I go back the week after. Once again : closed. They're kidding me or ?...
6. In the end : package sent back to the sender. ON EDGE !

(Yes, I'm a very lucky person, as you can see.)

Package sent back to the sender, how does Achica manage it ?

          I've got to say that I was really anxious to know what the After-Sales Service would tell me after I contacted it. Yet, I've been pleasantly surprised. The person I talked with, Cardoso Melany, has kindly offered me to send back the package to my Post office, WITHOUT ASKING ME FOR ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS ! Well, maybe once at my Post office, I would have been asked for some resending costs, I don't know, but in any case, I wasn't told that when I begged asked to have my package sent back. So logically, it should not have been the case.

And, well, in the end, what happened to your order ?

          I waited for my package for a while, but no news from the Post office. I contacted Achica, and they told me that the package had been broken during all this adventure. So, of course, they didn't ship it to me but Achica has paid me back my frames WITHOUT ANY NEED FOR ME TO FIGHT !
          In fact, I didn't even had to ask for it : Cardoso Melany, the really kind person I talked with, (and all my messages were between her and me, so no need for me to explain once again my situation), has immediatly told me I would be paid back. Joy, happiness, relief, gratitude.

To sum it up :

1. A site serious, which allows you to get some brands products at really interesting prices.

2. An After-Sales Service won-der-ful, that doesn't try to do everything to keep your money.

3. An unique After-Sales person in charge, so you don't have to re-explain your situation.

4. Try it if a sell interests you, because it's great !

And now, here's the haul !

          ♦ The first article is a decorative cushion representing a vase filled with chrysanthemums, from the British brand Evans Lichfield :

          The cushion is W43 x L43 cm, and is in polyester, (same for the padding).
          Honestly, I don't remember the price, but I think it was around 30 euros, (around 40,15 USD), (I might be wrong !). In any case, I paid mine 18 euros, (around 24,08 USD), which I think is really correct for a cushion of this height, and with padding. 
          You can tell it is of great quality, and I really like the detail of the golden border, that looks just like a little cord : adorable ! For me who's really attentive to finitions, it was a detail that was really important : I could have not bought it if it weren't there, to give you an idea.
     The colors are very soft and vibrant at the same time. They match perfectly with what I saw on the website, which relieved me. (It's the problem with buying on the internet : sometimes we have big surprises once the product between our hands !)
          The cushion opens thanks to a fastener below it.

          ♦ The second product is an organic moisturising body cream, from the British brand NEOM Luxury Organics :

          It is from the Inspiration category, with violet essentials oil, (soothing), chamomile, (repairing and soothing) and cedarwood, (cicatrizant).
       It's an hydrating cream very rich of essentials oils. Other than the above ones, it also contains - among others, because no, this is not the exhaustive list, (I send you to the photo' of the ingredients list down below) - the following ingredients : 
♣ Acai extracts, (antioxidant)
♣ Cocoa Bean, (promotes skin elasticity and so helps preventing and healing stretch marks)
♣ Almond oil, (hydrating, soothing)
♣ Cynorrhodon oil, (repares the skin)
♣ Avocado oil, (softens and protects the skin).

     Thanks to Achica, the tin of 200ml costed me only 18 euros, (24,08 USD) ! I know that you can find it here costing 45 euros, (60,20 USD), (knowing that there are 20% off for non EU customers), and there for 26,26 euros/35,92 USD, (and the shipping costs are free ! However, it's out of stock for now.).
          The ingredients are 85% organics, and the 15% remaining are natural.
          The cream is certified WITHOUT :
♠ petrochimicals
♠ SLS
♠ parabenS
♠ PEGS
♠ silicone
♠ animal products
♠ tested on animals
♠ OGMs
          The cream was made in England.

          The scent is quite unique, very strong, because of the, (numerous) essential oils. You clearly can smell the cedarwood, which is a scent very hot and masculine, and knowing that there is also some Ylang Ylang ... So, it's a woody scent, spicy, medicinal, hot, masculine and a bit strong when you open the tin. (Sensible noses ... take some apnoea lessons.)

          However, once put on the body, of course you smell it at first, but it disappears and you really need to smell your skin to find it back.

          What's really nice with this cream, is that since it's mostly made from oils, (not always essentials, but oils), it easily penetrates the skin, and most of all, it is not greasy !

          Its asset is its diversity of actions : it is an antioxidant cream which will help to prevent and fight against skin aging, it will also moisturize the skin, without getting it oily and help it to keep its water, it will also help the skin cells preserving their elasticity which will prevent and/or reduce stretch marks ...

          Obviously, even so, it is not the miraculous product, let's keep it real. (The miracle product that takes care of every skin problem does not exist, let's remember it.) However, it's really a rich and various content that will help your skin being more beautiful, healthier. Honestly not negligible.

          After having correctly tested it, I will tell you if its utilisation truly brings a change, but I do not doubt that it helps to get your skin more beautiful. It remains to be seen to what extent.
